About us Corporate Profile
Company: Incorporate in 2004, PHIwave Pte Ltd and founded by Mr.
Christopher Ng (CEO/CTO) and Mr. J. Hui (Director
of Marketing) is a privately held wireless telecommunications and networking mesh
and signal processing technology company that develops DSP and networking
equipment to deploy high performance mesh and wireless broadband networks
quickly, easily and affordably. PHIwave's wireless
mesh networking solution is ideal for building backbone infrastructure for Wi-Fi networks, video surveillance, and temporary
networks in a variety of environments, such as metro-area Internet access HotSpots, airports, hotels, campus environments or other
locations where wiring is difficult, disruptive, or expensive. PHIwave is currently funded by the founders are in
process of Series B investments for further company expansion program. The
team consists of talented individuals and specialist in the field of RF
Digital Signal Processing, data compression, algorithm development, secure
encryption, networking and custom Linux coding. Management: Both founders have more than
15-20 years experience each in R&D, electronics, software and contract
manufacturing background. They were involved in the past in advanced R&D
and OEM/ODM ECM business for some of the biggest names in the electronics
industry. E.g. IBM, HP, Cisco, Apple, Motorola, Seagate,
Iomega, Siemens, Agilent, Nortel, etc. They bring along with them a vast experience from
technology/product development to high volume manufacturing, process, test,
logistics and packaging. Other new management staff are
also from large MNCs with good background in Sales
and Marketing and Finance. Market PHIwave Technology: Existing so called wireless
networks are not truly wireless. Wireless access
points (APs) must still connect via optical or
Ethernet cable (CAT-5) to a wired backbone infrastructure in order to
back-haul data traffic for wide-area routing or switching or custom servers.
As a result, wiring is the most expensive portion of a wireless network. PHIwave's approach is based on advanced wireless routing
technologies. PHIwave wireless mesh nodes replace
Ethernet cabling and form an Instant Wireless Mesh Network. Ethernet cabling
is no longer required, which eliminates costly, disruptive and time-consuming
provisioning. PHIwave also has proprietary patented
and patent pending technologies that can achieve superior LOS and NLOS
transmission and reception thus giving it the best wireless coverage to date
without excessive power output levels (within FCC/IDA guidelines). In this
manner, the number of PHIcells mesh AP required is
less than other available solutions. Plus PHIwave’s
unique PHIboost technology optional VPN
based bandwidth capacity enhancer effectively doubles or quadruples (2x-4x)
the available backhaul (11Mbps -> 22/44Mbps or 54Mbps to 108/216Mbps) and
also speeds up the last mile wireless link experience. PHIwave High Performance Wireless Mesh
Networks The PHIwave
PHIcell High Performance Mesh Network provides a
high capacity, self-healing wireless mesh backbone for outdoor and indoor
networks. Designed for maximum performance, scalability, and ease of use, the
PHIcell mesh network works seamlessly between
indoor and outdoor environments and can operate in 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz
spectrums. The PHIcell system enables multiple
network services and standard Ethernet devices to operate on the wireless
backbone creating secure and reliable wireless networks for video, voice and
data. The PHIcell
system includes the PHIcell Access Points MAP-xxxx series indoor and outdoor mesh nodes, PHIview mesh Network Management Software, and enterprise
class networking features including traffic monitoring, network gateway
interconnects, login authentications, MAC filter control and remote
management. Instant Networking Benefits: PHIwave
solutions deliver the following benefits:
